Kiss of DeathThe pink hedgehog, Amy Rose, was heading home. It was late; she'd spent the entire day out exploring the nearby forest. Amy had forgotten about her self-declared curfew, thus, she was briskly walking.
The forest's lighting at this time of day, or night I should say, was a tad eerie. The moon's light was shattered into splotches on the damp grass. Actually, to a few, instead of eerie it might've been beautiful.
Amy, however, found it unsettling. The way the moonlight hit the ghostly mist imitated silhouettes. Amy found herself subconsciously questioning if they were really silhouettes.
Don't be ridiculous, Amy! It's just the light. She flipped a soft quill over bare shoulder skeptically.
But Amy's pace quickened.
Amy's head turned. What... Had she heard a bush? Some stick snap? Wind? Her walk increased to a jog. The air pierced through her fur and clothing, chilling her to the bone. Had it been this cold before?

Her CatalystAs she walks through the maelstrom, the words trace upon the tips of her fingers and press into the stone. Every brick, every crack in the concrete, every crossed and angular stroke in reds and blacks and oranges. The drips of the gasoline pool around the base of her boots, slosh as she steps over the burst pipes and the rubble.
So much rubble. So little outcry. The silence of the city grates on her eardrums and the mantras she'd been forced to memorize. The Seers demanded they observe thirteen years of recitation before they attempt to weave their first World together.
But who other than the Seers can claim the incantations that knot the skeins they twist and pull on like reins hold fast? When have any of the Sisters recorded the visions they traced upon space-time and recited them, left them open for critique and discussion and debate?
